Los Angeles-based artistMegan Geckler builds a “six-story hurricane of color” in the atrium of the Sydney, Australia’s Customs House. The art piece was designed using flagging tape, which is used in construction, forestry, and mining. Six colors of flagging tape swirl in concentric rectangular shapes, rotating in different directions. This design uses mathematical progressions between color hues to make rainbow gradients.
